Meet the Oakville Chiropractor, Dr. Noelle Bethea
Dissecting Frogs Sparked Dr. Bethea’s Interest in the Chiropractic Field
I was always curious about health and how the body functioned, especially after dissecting frogs in grade 9 biology! From then on, I knew I wanted to somehow be involved in health care.
Chiropractic Education
Dr. Bethea began her pre-chiropractic education at the University of Guelph and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Human Kinetics. At University of Guelph, she played for the University volleyball team.
One of my summer jobs during university was working at a chiropractic clinic. I was attracted to chiropractic because I liked the idea of helping people naturally, without drugs or surgery. Without having any specific injury or problem, I received my first adjustment. I was amazed at how much better I could feel! And after seeing all the families that benefited from care, I decided I wanted to be a chiropractor.
Dr. Bethea was then accepted to the National College of Chiropractic in Chicago. During her four years at NCC, courses included anatomy, human physiology, biochemistry, x-ray, diagnosis, chiropractic adjusting techniques, acupuncture and patient care in the NCC Public Clinic. Dr. Bethea graduated in 1998 with a Doctor of Chiropractic and a Certification in Acupuncture and returned to Burlington to establish her practice.
My Family
Dr. Bethea met her husband at University and they have 2 little girls who have never received an antibiotic and get adjusted about once a month. “I still enjoy playing volleyball and being out in the community doing various wellness talks.”
